My name is Hanna Wiskari. I am a Swedish musician based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa New Zealand.
I have spent over 20 years playing, touring, and collaborating in all kinds of musical settings - but my heart has always been closest to the traditional Swedish music I grew up with. My main instrument is the soprano saxophone and over time I have developed a sound and style that lets this non-traditional instrument find its place in the folk world.
I’m passionate about music as a way to bring people together, and whether I’m performing, teaching, or organising events, I’m driven by the belief that creativity can inspire meaningful connections and positive change.
